With Rifle, LBE and full rucksack (sand filled ammo can plus water rations etc), I remember that it was NO cake walk. That was back in the days when everyone wore boots to run in too. We had a bunch of ROK's in our class and if the ROK Officer didn't like the way his men ran, he would line them up and then knock them down to the ground with his fist. They would hop right back up, say something in Korean and act like nothing happened. The ROK's didn't put up with any $hit! |

Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Willard Langdon Message: Margaret and I had a nice visit with Chuck & his wife this afternoon. He was doing well. They removed his oxygen while we were there in anticipation of his going home soon. He was in good spirits & we talked & laughed. He's had a rough road, but things are improving. I urge everyone to continue to pray for his complete recovery. Chuck is a special friend to all of us & we care about his well being. |
